I'm a coach who couldn't scale myself—so I'm building AI to do it. Since 2017 I've coached volleyball, winning USA Volleyball Nationals in 2023 while also playing professional Ultimate Frisbee for the Detroit Mechanix. Every week I turn down athletes who want private lessons because I can only coach one person at a time.
As a player, I've always wanted more feedback than coaches had time to give. I've won multiple South African beach volleyball championships and competed internationally. I know what it takes to improve, and I know the bottleneck is always access to quality coaching. So I'm building the tool I've needed for years: an AI coach that delivers real-time technical feedback so athletes can improve faster and coaches can scale their expertise beyond 1-on-1 sessions.
I studied Computer Science at Stellenbosch University, writing my thesis on using large language models for software testing. I previously served as CTO of a YC-backed startup in the X25 batch.
